| How long have you been turned on by Rubber Wellington Boots ? | About 17 years |
| When were you first turned on by Rubber Wellington Boots ? | When I was about 11 years old. I loved the freedom they gave me to go anywhere in any conditions knowing that I could get as muddy as I liked. All the kids at school wore wellies in the snow and I loved the look and smell of them and was always jealous of anyone who had bigger and better boots than me. |
| How many pairs
of Rubber
Wellington Boots do you own ? |
Argyll Super Safeties, BTR Lincoln Armasols, Dunlop Safety Pluses, Hevea Thermo+, Daiwa 'Hunter' green boots, BTR Bullseye Hoods, Leeda Thermal green wellies and Century 2000 Super Safety waders. |
| Which is your favourite pair ? | The Hevea Thermo+ wellies are great in mud as they are so warm and have great grip. My century waders are good for deep mudding. |
| How often do you wear Rubber Wellington Boots ? | A couple of times a week. |
| How often do you go out in public wearing them ? | Only when the weather is suitable or in the countryside. Long wet muddy walks in winter are the best. |
| Do you wear them in town as well as in the country ? | I don't wear them in town except when it is snowy. |
| Do you wear them only when the weather is suitable or at other times e.g. when it is sunny ? | If I'm going out in the countryside I wear my wellies rain and shine. I like my wellies to get filthy and sweat soaked so summer is good too. |
| Are you turned on when you are putting your Rubber Wellington Boots on or when you are wearing nothing else ? | Occasionally, but clothes are needed to complete the thrill. |
| Have you a preference for the clothes you wear with your Wellington Boots (eg shorts, jeans, rainwear) ? | I like to wear thick wellington socks and football socks with thick insoles in my boots to stop them pulling off in thick mud. I prefer wearing combat clothes topped with a camouflage goretex army rain suit. Neoprene socks are good when it is cold. |
| Do you get a "kick" from seeing other people wearing rubber Wellington Boots? | Yes, very much so and I'm always jealous if I see someone in muddy wellies and I'm not wearing mine. |
| Do you belong to any clubs or Organisations especially to be able to wear your Wellington Boots where they do not look out of place | Not any more. I used to do conservation work where I could wear wellies and waders all the time but now I don't have the time |
| Have you had any contact with any other wearers of Rubber Wellington Boots ? | Some, via Email. |
| Any further information | I prefer heavy duty wellies and waders and like nothing better than sinking them into thick deep mud. Mud and wellies are the best combination but if I'm exploring mudflats or coal slurry pits then waders are the best tied at the ankles to keep them on. |
